Best Way of Link Building?
Simple question but a hard one to answer
What do you think is the best way of building links?
I have heard of people joining websites like LinkExchanged.com which makes the process of link exchanging pretty simple.
I prefer going through the search engines and typing in a keyword related to my site, and then just emailing all the sites owners asking for link exchanges. So far it seems to be paying off as lots have emailed back and added my link, but in terms of it showing in the search engines its far too early to tell.
What are your best and proven methods of link building?

Get free programs, and link build that way, they'll give you a standerd 1,000 dirs to submit your link into and you do it that way so you don't have to pay to get links to your site.

How about pay to any PPC? what do you think? i am newbie anyway. But i see this is also a good way to build the new web.

Yes the simple way according to me is to hire someone for directory submission. but the submissions should be mannualy. the next option as discussed above is exchanging links with other. i mainly go for these things to build links.

The best and top way to get your links build is by way of submitting your sites to various directories and get listed in various social bookmarkings as both are the best way to get more links juice from external sites and hence google juice.

I have read that adding another sites link to your page first....(works better if yours and their sites are related!) then contacting them and telling them you've added them to yours....then asking them to add you works pretty well....shows some afore fronted trust...

Use different methods - directory submition, link exchanges, blog commenting, link buying, article writting, social bookmarking... Make links look natural for SE - use different anchor texts.

So, it is better or wise to use all the ways... directory submission, blog commenting, forum posting, link exchange, social book marking... we have doubts wchich among these is working to bring more traffic!!

The best ways to do link building are
Blog Commenting.
Article postings.
Directory submissions.
One way links.
Two way(reciprocal) links.
Three way links.
Social Media Communication.
Book Marking.
Press Releases.
And these methods will help to increase the traffic on your site.
