Default MSN less popular

With the success and heights of Yahoo and Google, what keeps MSN less popular?

It is the results of their search that matters to the viewing public or maybe the style and layout of their webpage itself?

On my personal observation, I think the Search Box of MSN should be quite more bigger. Because if you will notice, yahoo has some infos too, but their Search box are quite bigger, and Google, they don't even have infos on their page, But just the Wide Search Box where you put your queries.

Well, MSN needs a lot of work to do to compete. Anyway, Gates is earning more than enough from operating systems and softwares itself. I guess there is no need.

I totally agree with you. If the search is a big part of your business and generates revenue, then that has to be the main attraction of your page, for e.g google.

When you open that page, you know you have opened it for one thing only... SEARCH!

yes and the page is over occupied with lots of information which confuses people, it doesnt matter how big or small is the search box but wht matters is the results , i have seen that MSN usually misguides you and wastes your precious time by reffering to useless sites
