Default Business Acc vs Personal?

Hello everyone,

I am taking a look at paypal account options and it seems that the personal account and business account differ in that they don't take fees on payments with paypal on the personal account and the fees on credit cards for the business account are lower. And the transaction limits for a personal account look quite low if people pay by credit card. It seems as though you are pretty much forced to go with a business account, which I don't think is such a bad thing.

So , as a self employed individual should I just opt for the Business account?

Well, if anyone can shed some light on these questions it would be much appreciated.

If you are in for a big business online do business account is a better choice. But remind you that paypal takes huge some of money for a business account in every transaction even if that is not coming form a CC, A 100$ would be 90$ for you if you are to transact with it.

Business is cheaper in the long run, although you can stay personal until you have to start paying fees for CC transactions, then change into business!

I think personal account will be perfect for you. no need to promote to business account and indulge in heavy charges.

I would suggest you to go for business account if you transact good amount of money in paypal per month, as it is not advisable to use personal account for the same due to its limitations.

What? They take $10 for every $100? So 10% is deducted from transactions? Is that for incoming and outgoing?

Default Biz account

If you do any kind of numbers at all you will be very limited by the personal account. You are right when you say they kind of force you to go with the business account. Go with the biz. In the long run, it will give you much more flexability.

It depends on your usage of Paypal and whether you receive CC payments regularly.
